Classical IVF and Microfertilisation ICSI

IN VITRO FERTILIZATION (IVF)

In vitro fertilization (IVF) is a method mainly used for patients with a diagnosis of tubal factor and unexplained infertility. With this method insemination of the eggs with sperm is performed in the lab and after an embryo has been formed it is subsequently transferred in the womb.

INTRA-CYTOPLASMIC SPERM INJECTION (ICSI)

Intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), is used when there is a diagnosis of male factor infertility. A single sperm is selected and injected directly into each egg. In this way the interaction between the egg and the sperm is bypassed and embryos are formed.
