TVOR is the procedure during which the eggs are harvested following the controlled ovarian stimulation. 34 to 36 hours after the administration of the trigger injection the eggs have matured and they are ready for collection. During TVOR the patient is under sedation and the collection is achieved transvaginally and under direct guidance via ultrasound imaging. In rare cases it can be performed transabdominally.
